Air Operations

Though certainly not an aircraft carrier, the Canberra was fitted with a flight deck to support helicopter operations.  The helo deck was used to transfer personnel, equipment and other supplies.  One of the most appreciated functions was the delivery of the mail.

Thanks to Lou Richardson, we have a photo of the very first helicopter to use the brand new flight deck.
