Keeping In Touch

The Radiomen and Communication Yeomen of OR Division ensure that the Canberra is always in touch with the rest of the fleet and the rest of the world.  The four main sections are: Transmitter, Radio Central, Secure Teletype, and the Message Center.  These spaces are manned 24/7, in port or at sea, to ensure that "the word" gets passed.

From the orders that sent us on our next mission, to battle reports of "mission accomplished," they go through these people, first.  They even keep us informed with the latest news and sports from home.  The men of OR even provide telegraph services for shipmates to contact home.
